Our blouses

We specialize in artisan blouses made from high quality organic cotton and naturally pigmented dyes. We believe preserving Mother Nature while safeguarding the health of the artisans and our costumers is a top priority.

Fuerza Indîgena blouses are made only with the highest quality organic cotton sourced in the U.S. Each blouse is hand designed and made by indigenous women from Latin America who have re-established in the U.S. With each blouse sold, we are collectively creating jobs for indigenous women who otherwise would have limited options.

Each blouse has a unique history, as do it's designer, and thus a unique identity that makes it stand out from other blouses on the market. Taking the strong modern women in mind, we specially craft our blouse to be form fitting, unique and classy, with a modern twist. Inspired by indigenous aesthetics, our blouses are sure to turn heads left and right.

Why organic cotton?

According to the Organic Fair Trade Association, organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic pesticides or fertilizers, thus reducing the environmental impact of cotton crops. Above all, organic cotton does not pollute the bodies of humans with toxins found in other non-organic garments. The U.S. already produces roughly 3.2 million pounds of organic cotton every year, so why not go organic!

About 25% of the world's insecticide goes to cotton production. Most of it drift into nearby ecosystems, severely altering or handicapping the community around them. Not only are insecticides toxic to the human body, they are also lethal to other organisms. The U.S. fish and wildlife services reports that millions of fish and birds are killed every year from the legal application of pesticides. Non-organic cotton, more dangerously, holds possible carcinogens that may lead to other illnessess due to pesticide residue on them.
